Street and Strip - Firebird Jan 9 2009 : 2009-01-09

With the Chevelle back together for a short time, we decided it was a good time to try it out at the track again. After a little bit of trouble with tech I was on my way to racing. Steve, one of my work mates, joined us with his 335i BMW and did really well, especially when you consider this is his first time racing at the track ever.

Unfortunately his roommate and I never got to race as he broke on his first race against Steve and had to get a tow back home. Maybe next time.

Mark and Steve first run. Steve got the jump on me, but I ran him down before the end of the track.

Mark and Steve Run 1

Mark and Steve second run. Note the S-Rocket headlight, I really do need to work on something other than drivetrain someday.

Mark and Steve Run 2

Other memorable runs from the night.

The blue car was in Keith's shop for a looooong time. Glad to see it out on the track.

How to break your junk at the track.

Other 2

Diesel truck with a stack. Might have broke something, but love the smoke.
